Tanja Hersche

I design from the dual perspective of a designer and a customer and this is challenging. I take the audience into account and strive to be different. My inspiration could be a theme, an idea or a concept. I might capture nature and its possibilities. I myself like simplicity, yet it has to have that “hint of wit.” I can hardly stand design for the pure aesthetic of it. Even if it is decoration, it needs to be striking in its context. I am struck by the different movements, centuries and cultures of Fine Art, Architecture, Typography, Fashion, and Interior and Industrial Design. Their forms, colors, combinations and ideals are full of hints and inspiration to me. Also I am affected by the things that surround me. A simple idea taken further or an “old” style shown in a new way can be fun! www.thersche.com
